Cobb Traffic Ticket Solutions

Traffic Violations

In most traffic accidents you cannot just pay the ticket, but rather someone must appear in court. We can appear in court so you don’t have to. Don’t think just because you got into an accident that you have to plead guilty. In most cases, we can get charges reduced so nothing will show up on your record.

Following too closely

Most often this ticket is written when you rear-end another vehicle; however, you could be charged with this even if there was no accident. Following too closely will result in 3 points being added to your driver’s license and a fine. According to the law, “the driver of a motor vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of such vehicles and the traffic upon and the condition of the highway.” Drivers must leave enough room for a “vehicle drawing another vehicle” to pull in front of them safely. When travelling in a caravan, “allow sufficient space between each such vehicle or combination of vehicles as to enable any other vehicle to enter and occupy such space without danger.” A driver is still considered to be following if approaching a stopped vehicle. Having an attorney present in court could make the difference between an absolute guilty verdict and lesser punishments.

Failure to yield

According to Georgia law, all drivers must yield the right of way when they are pulling into a major roadway. Failure to yield is a 3 point ticket that can result in other more severe consequences if it caused an accident. Georgia law covers several different types of failure to yield accidents: four-way stops, stop signs, highways, pulling out onto road from driveways or parking lots, emergency vehicles, and left-hand turns. Let us go to court for you and get your ticket reduced!
